Well we have upgraded the transportation fleet. We have gone from two 1979 buses with both the Charter and the Yellow Option Route buses that were previously used by the District. We now have a 1995 MCI Charter bus that the football, volleyball and cheerleaders were able to take on its maiden voyage for Minatare Schools.
I am glad we were able to secure the two buses with many thanks to the Board of Education for approving their purchase, thanks to Platte Valley Banks for the great deal on the loan and to Mid-States Bus for the price we paid. Hopefully our students will be able to enjoy them for many years to come.

1st Day as Elementary Principal
First Thursday as I assume a new part of the journey being the co-principal at Minatare Elementary. Scheduled to be here on every Thursday and Friday. We will see how that goes and will take it day by day. First task is to try and learn all the students names and faces. In the past have been pretty good at it. We will see if age is creeping up on me. So far school is going smooth with a few hiccups. The little people are a whole new breed as I was previously 4-6 grade principal. Later.

Welcome Back to School
Teachers, Staff, Parents and Students:
Welcome back to a new school year (2013-2014). There are many exciting things on the horizon and I hope that this will be for you one of the best school years ever. I hope the summer was filled with joy, rest, relaxation and a chance to re-energize for the new year (although it always seems too short for many). I will try and be faithful in reading and responding to those of you who take the time to follow my blog and I promise to answer any questions or queries you might have. This is a good way to keep the lines of communication open with the public and to exchange thoughts, ideas, and just general conversation without the need for face-to-face or much time to commit. I am getting myself comfortable with more technology myself as I go along and have opened the world of Google, Facebook, I-Pads and other items in this ever-changing world of technology in which we live. I hope that you can come along in my journey and will perhaps teach me many things that I need to learn. Later my friends in education.

Okay---Summer #4 and year coming up...Big Changes
I want to give a big shout out to the students, staff, and community. You continue to make Minatare a special place for Susan and myself. The Lord has placed us in a great spot for His reason. So many good things are happening and we will continue to contribute the best that we can.
As we begin the new year, some exciting things are on the horizon with a new 1 to 1 technology plan for staff and students to continue moving forward in the world of technology. We plan on upgrading the transportation fleet with a new charter and option route bus. We will be working with the city to drill some wells to water the grassy areas around campus and the football and practice fields. Also under the direction of Ms DeeDe Sinner we are moving forward with a new look to our website. This will allow our Board members and their meetings to also move forward with technology in the Board room and the parents, students and staff to better navigate and get information as needed.
It really is a great time to be a Minatare Indian with the changes we are making and doing a better job of educating the youth of our community. Please stay in touch and be a participating member in committees and groups to assist the school in making this a great place for education.

Still Hopeful....Graduation #3 next week.
With the third year of my administrative tenure in Minatare just about in the books, I still hold out hope that this blog of mine will eventually take hold. We have lots of technology stuff happening and I realize it will take some time.
First, I will mention graduation on Saturday, May 11th for the Class of 2013. Way to go seniors. Believe it or not...I actually graduated myself from Wolf Point High School in Montana in 1973...40 years ago...WOW. Can't hardly believe it as time sure has flown by. My oldest child, Brittney Cody graduated 10 years ago. Congratulations to all of us.
Second, we will be upgrading to a new website for next year under the leadership of Ms Deede Sinner. We hope to have it more active and accurate that the one Minatare has had in the past. Hopefully everyone will like the changes and start using it more. We really do have big. BIG plans for the technological future for Minatare.
Well, that is all for now. Hope to make some connections and have more followers to motivate me in the future as this can certainly be a good thing for all of us concerned about education for the students of Minatare.
